Test Prep Tutor/Mentor
ESM Prep is looking for some new SAT/ACT Test Prep Mentors in the South Bay Area. All applicants must pass a content quiz prior to interviewing.

Job Description
ESM Prep is seeking energetic, engaging, and kind tutors in the Bay area who can support their students holistically as mentors. The tutors in this position will assist students one-on-one in preparing for college by readying them for the ACT and SAT exams, tutoring multiple academic subjects, and mentoring them through their overall high school academic journey.
We call our tutors Academic Mentors because we prioritize the holistic development of each of our students. All applicants should be passionate about working with youth and should have previous experience tutoring, teaching, and/or coaching.
Job Requirements
- Prior experience teaching or tutoring ACT/SAT. A past score or a score from a diagnostic test taken during the application process will be required.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Must be able to tutor in-person 2 to 3 days a week mostly in the South Bay area.
- Additional expertise in high school subjects such as algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, chemistry, physics, biology, economics, history, English, and Spanish, computer Science, economics, SSAT, and/or ISEE is a plus!
- Available part-time. Tutoring usually occurs on weekday evenings (after 3pm) and/or on weekends. Typical work schedule is Sunday-Thursday.
- You must be available for in-person tutoring in students' homes.
- Available to tutor for a full school year or longer.
- Reliable internet access.
Compensation/Benefits:
- wage: $60-$70/hr (academic tutoring in high school subjects starts at $60/hr while test prep tutoring starts at $70/hr)
