This is a high-impact, hybrid role for a diplomatic and commercially-minded professional ready to blend high-level mentorship with exceptional client relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Admissions Lead: Guide London-based and international students through every phase of the US (Common App/UC System) and global university application journeys.
  • Curate Ambitious Portfolios: Develop well-rounded university lists that align family goals with realistic, strategic outcomes across the US, UK, and Europe.
  • Editorial & Narrative Scaffolding: Support students in outlining and drafting authentic personal statements and essays, moving them from initial concepts to polished, high-impact narratives.
  • Holistic Student Mentoring: Manage academic, super-curricular, and extracurricular choices throughout the Sixth Form journey (Years 12 and 13), providing vital executive function coaching.
  • Parental Diplomacy: Act as a trusted advisor to parents, providing the "diplomatic authority" to manage expectations regarding university selectivity while ensuring student well-being.
  • Business Development: Proactively build and maintain a dedicated portfolio of students, articulating the value of our services to generate organic referrals and long-term client retention.

Qualifications

  • Education & Prestige: Bachelor’s Degree from a top-tier university (Oxbridge, Russell Group, or US "Top 30" preferred).
  • Admissions Expertise: 3+ years of direct experience in education, university admissions, or high-level private mentoring with a primary focus on US admissions strategy.
  • Global Fluency: Conversant in admission trends for top-tier institutions across the UK and Europe to serve an international clientele effectively.
  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to manage complex family dynamics and the confidence to deliver "reality checks" regarding elite university selectivity.
  • Operational Excellence: Highly organised with the capacity to manage a caseload of 30–50 students; proficiency with modern CRM and workflow tools is essential.
  • Location & Flexibility: Must be based in London for a hybrid schedule (2–3 days in the central office) with a willingness to work "student hours" (evenings and some weekends).

Nice-to-Haves

  • Commercial Aptitude: A track record of "asking for the sale" and building a personal "book of business" within the private education sector.
  • Testing Strategy: Fluency in advising families on SAT/ACT testing paths and their role in a holistic application.
  • Global Network: Active connections within London secondary schools or international education bodies.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: Expected first-year total earnings of £75,000 – £90,000 (Base Salary + Commission/Bonus) with significant growth potential in year two.
  • Hybrid Working: A balance of central London office presence and flexible work-from-home options.
  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive private health insurance.
  • Global Collaboration: Join a tight-knit, expert team sharing best practices across the worldwide Guidewell Education family.
